Why did you join Speech and Debate?
I was going to either do Speech or Chess club when I was a freshman. When I came to check it out, I saw everyone having so much fun. I found a duo partner pretty quickly and from then on it was just fun. I love the people here, we are all friends. It makes the experience better.
What is your favorite Speech and Debate memory?
Sophomore year at Foley was my first time making finals in anything. It was so much fun to see 50-60 people come watch- Just raw energy. It made me love performing.
What is the hardest part of Speech and Debate?
The hardest part is practicing something so much that it becomes muscle memory but not getting burnt out or bored.
What do you do for fun?
Running and sports.
What other extracurricular activities are you a part of?
  • Cross country-captain
  • Soccer
